Saptaranga Research And Organic Pvt Ltd manufactures herb-based solutions and manures to serve the needs of organic farming. Our herb based plant growth enhancer and plant protector solutions which can be used in the form of foliar spray for promoting a healthy  growth of plants and protecting them from different insects and diseases. Herbally enhanced manure is a product of our own Vithuraya Goshala which takes care of non-milking desi cows either donated by farmers due to less milk, no milk, old age or saved from slaughter houses. Manure from these cows is herbally enhanced. The innovation in this product is that this solid manure can be converted into 50 to 75 litres of liquid volume. This liquid manure solution can be given from small saplings to mature fruit trees through soil application depending upon size, height and different stages of flowering and fruiting. Thus our company promotes a holistic and sustainable approach to healthy plant growth, nurturing soil fertility, ethical treatment of desi cows all leading to excellent results for organic farming practices.

Achievements of Shrutika Bagul, Founder Director : My journey started from a research background in plant tissue culture technology and biochemistry. I was selected under BARC-University of Pune Collaborative Research Program for my PhD program. During my thesis submission I had a head injury accident  in which my eyes, neck, and spine were injured which took 12 years of my life. But I wanted to come back into research. But I had no lab, no instruments and no degree. Only my research experience, my mothers blessing and strong will to do beneficial research for plants, animals, humans and mother earth was with me. How to start research which was going to require a lot of funds? So we converted the car parking at home into a greenhouse from where my research journey started. The first few research projects included aeroponically grown corn fodder system for our Vithuraya goshala, wheatgrass for haemoglobin related disorder, indoor saffron farming, and microgreens. During this time I had many failures, shortage of funds and many times I had to fulfil jugaad for the research. Sometimes it passed, sometimes it failed. My mother who is co-founder of this company has equally contributed to research and into organic farming.

Our research was going on when I came to know about the InFED Incubation Program at India Institute of Management Nagpur. I spoke to Dr. Shivaji Dhawad, COO of this programme and our transition of research to formation of startup company started. On 8th November 2021 we registered our company as Saptaranga Research And Organic Private Limited. Our company has worked on several research projects like aeroponically grown corn fodder for dairy animals, wheatgrass system, and microgreens. With the help of InFED IIM Nagpur we have applied to Startup India Seed Funding Scheme and received the funding of Rs. 25 lakhs for scaling of our company.  With the help of InFED IIM Nagpur we did other incubation programs like Wadhwani foundation, Garje Marathi we were in top 15 companies in the final round. In another competition  Stand On your feet in which we were in the top 10 finalists in the final round.

We have developed three different categories of products: plant growth enhancer, herbally enhanced manures and plant protectors (please visit our website sropl.com for more information). Our work is mainly on rice, chilli, mango and oranges. Plant enhancers are liquid to promote  plant growth, development and agriculture produce. Plant protectors are liquid which will help to prevent different damages to the plants. Herbally enhanced manure is a product of our own Vithyuraya Goshala and has shown excellent results in vegetative growth, flowering, and fruit development and reduction in pre drop flowers and fruits. So overall our products are going to have environmental effect it helps in improving soil health, improved plant immunity, social effect help in saving desi cows, farmer empowerment and harmful chemical free food and economic impact it reduces input cost and increases crop yield in quality and quantity

On this journey I got a chance to meet our honourable prime minister Shri Narendra Modji during his visit to Nagpur. My first strongest pillar is my mother Kalindi Dhakulkar and brother Dr. Amit Dhakulkar, second pillar, are my Dr. Metri Director of IIM Nagpur, Dr. Shivaji Dhawad and all other mentors. Third strongest pillar are agricultural scientists, particularly Dr. Sharad Pawar (ex-BARC emeritus scientist), and all agriculture consultants and fourth pillar are all the farmers who have inspired us to do this beneficial research. We are taking help from Gramanyan and Janmanch for a farmers workshop. Promotion of our manure products will allow us to take care of more desi cows and male bulls are donated to farmers who will take care for free of cost. and not sold to anyone. It is a combined effort of firm determination, hard work, research, expertise to learn and understand about this subject and help farmers to achieve their potential in organic farming.
