Amit Kumar has been appointed as the General Manager at ITC Grand Central, Mumbai. Prior to this he was associated with ITC at WelcomHotel The Savoy Mussoorie & ITC Windsor Bengaluru as General Manager. With over 2 decades of work experience in the hospitality industry, Amit Kumar will be responsible for managing overall hotel operations including planning, procurement, sales, revenue generation, marketing & public relations. A consistent performer with proven track record of increasing revenues, improving guest satisfaction through & streamlining workflow.
He brings with him management expertise garnered through Indian & International exposure from his previous experiences. Apart from having intense leadership and decision making skills he also excels in handling and supervising large teams, crisis management at the hotels and proper branding and positioning of the same.
Mr. Kumar started his initial career stint with Indian Hotels Company Ltd almost two decades back. He later worked in leading hotels in India. During his tenure at the Leela Mumbai, Starwood, now Marriott International & the Lalit he worked as the Asst Food &Beverage Manager, Director of Food & Beverage & Executive Assistant Manager – Food &Beverage respectively. He was soon promoted as Director of Operations & General Manager at the Hilton Worldwide.
An Alumnus of 1998, he is also a Certified Hotel Administrator from Institute of Hotel Management, catering & nutrition Ahmedabad. He will be responsible for overall hotel operations at ITC Grand Central, Mumbai.
