ROTARIAN LAL GOEL CALLS FOR STRONGER ORGAN DONATION INFRASTRUCTURE AT ROTARY INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT REVIEW MEETING

Mumbai, November 4, 2025 — Rotarian Lal Goel, Founder and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Zonal District Chair of Rotary International District (RID) 3141, delivered an inspiring address advocating for a stronger organ donation infrastructure during the Rotary District 3141 Review Meeting, chaired by District Governor Rtn Dr Manish Motwani.
In his remarks, Rtn Lal Goel proposed the creation of a dedicated fund—modeled on Rotary’s globally successful End Polio Now campaign—to support the development of essential infrastructure for organ retrieval and transplantation. He emphasised the urgent need to establish and finance Mobile Organ Retrieval Centers, which would significantly enhance accessibility and efficiency in organ donation efforts across India.
The session began with a presentation by Avenue Chair Rtn Harminder Singh, who highlighted the substantial progress achieved by the Organ Donation Avenue during the first four months of the Rotary Year 2025–26. He encouraged all Rotary Clubs within District 3141 to actively organise awareness programs and educational initiatives to promote the culture of organ donation.
District Governor Rtn Dr Manish Motwani reaffirmed the district’s commitment to this humanitarian mission, emphasised the life-saving potential of retrieving organs from brain-dead victims of road accidents, He pledged District 3141’s full support to strengthen this cause under Rotary’s service framework.
Expressing his appreciation, Rtn Lal Goel thanked District Governor Dr Motwani and Avenue Chair Rtn Singh for their leadership and encouragement, reaffirming his dedication to building a robust, life-saving organ donation ecosystem through Rotary’s collaborative efforts.
The review meeting was held at Hotel The Legend and attended by Vice Governor PDG Shashi Sharma, Chief Coordinator Bhagwan B Patil, District Treasurer Kishore V Parekh other Avenue Chairs and Members.
