Madhuri Dixit Nene joins leaders from cinema, healthcare and business at the Mumbai launch of a practical guide built around five pillars of everyday wellbeing.
Mumbai, October 10, 2026: Better health begins long before a visit to the operating room. That conviction lies at the heart of 21 Days to Good Health, the debut book by cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon Dr. Shriram Nene, unveiled by Madhuri Dixit Nene, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO, IHCL, Hitendra Dave CEO, HSBC India and Kapish Mehra, Managing Director, Rupa Publications at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai.
The evening brought together leading voices from entertainment, healthcare, business and public life to celebrate a shared ambition: making health knowledge accessible and putting it into practice.

Drawing on his surgical experience, Dr. Nene translates medical science into a structured, three-week starting point for healthier living. The book centres on five pillars: Nutrition; Movement; Sleep and Recovery; Stress and Mindset; and Connection and Purpose. Its focus is on achievable daily actions that readers can adapt to demanding careers, family responsibilities and busy schedules.
“We should not have to become patients before we make our health a priority,” said Dr. Nene. “As a surgeon, I have seen what disease can take away from people and their families. This book is my way of bringing that conversation into our homes, while we have the opportunity to act. Twenty-one days is a starting point. My hope is that people begin with one achievable change and build from there, together.”

A conversation between Shereen Bhan and Dr. Nene explored the thinking behind the book, the evolving conversation around wellness and longevity, and how people can turn health information into everyday action. The central question: how can we build lives in which caring for our health becomes a daily practice?
Guests included Harsh Goenka, Hemant Oberoi, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Amitabh Kant, Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Subhash Ghai and Vidhu Vinod Chopra amongst others.

The book’s philosophy also found expression on the plate. Avocado Pani Puri, Sweet Potato Chaat Mille-Feuille and a Little Millet Khichdi “Better Plate” station brought a fresh perspective to familiar flavours. Dark Chocolate-Avocado Mousse and signature alcohol-free drinks—including The 21, Pathfinder, Mumbai Mule and Infinity—carried the theme through the celebration: making thoughtful choices can be enjoyable.
The Mumbai launch begins a wider journey to bring the book’s message to audiences across India and internationally, with an invitation at its heart: What is one thing you can do for your health today?
