The Vienna Pass: The Best of Vienna – All In One Card!

Free admission to over 60 attractions in Vienna and unlimited free rides on the hop on hop off buses.

Since January 2015, you can discover all of Vienna on just one card: The innovative allinclusive Vienna Pass grants visitors free admission to over 60 major sights and the unlimited use of the hop on hop off buses of Vienna Sightseeing Tours on all routes.

The attractions included in the Vienna Pass are some of the absolute tourist highlights of the Imperial city on the Danube, such as Schönbrunn Palace, the Hofburg Palace, the Giant Ferris Wheel, the Spanish Riding School, Vienna’s famous Kunsthistorisches Museum (museum of art history), and many more. But card holders can also discover lesser-known sights like the Collection of Anatomical Pathology in the Madhouse Tower, or explore the history of Esperanto in the Esperanto Museum. A guided walking tour to the most important sights of the city centre is also included in the pass.

But the benefits of the Vienna Pass don’t end at the city limits–it includes several fascinating historical and cultural sites around Vienna, such as Imperial Palace Schloss Hof in the Marchfeld region, the palatial hunting lodge built by Prince Eugene, which was later acquired by Empress Maria Theresa and expanded for family visits, or Carnuntum, where the basic types of architecture of a Roman city quarter have been reconstructed at its original site.

 

Comfort and flexibility with the hop on hop off buses

Visitors can reach the attractions comfortably using the hop on hop off Vienna Sightseeing buses. Vienna Pass holders can switch freely between six different, color coded routes with a total of 50 stops, allowing them to design their very own sightseeing tour. The Vienna Pass grants unlimited use of the hop on hop off buses during its validity.
During the ride, free audio guides provide interesting information about the city in 16 languages. There are even channels for children with age-appropriate information about the city in German or English. The buses also have free Wi-Fi.

The Vienna Pass can be purchased online at www.viennapass.com. It can be shipped by post or picked up at the Vienna Pass Customer Service Centre at Opernpassage (1st district) or the Airport Driver counter at the airport. It is also possible to purchase the pass at the Vienna Pass Customer Service Centre, the tourist information offices atVienna Main Station, at Albertinaplatz in the city centre or the airport, at the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel, and numerous hotels.

The accompanying Vienna Pass guidebook is available as a handy pocket-sized booklet or as a download and provides interesting and useful facts in German, English, Italian, Spanish and French. The guidebook and the smartphone app “Vienna Guide” for Android and iOS make it easy for visitors to plan their itinerary. Both are free of charge. Vienna Pass holders also get access to fast lanes at many attractions, allowing them to skip the queues.

The Vienna Pass is available for 1 (€70), 2 (€95), 3 (€125) or 6 (€155) consecutive calendar days, saving money from the fourth sight onwards. Children below age 6 get free admission to the all-inclusive offers if accompanied by a Vienna Pass holder. Under 19-year-olds pay half price. The Vienna Pass is also available with an added travel card that lets you explore Vienna by subway, urban rail, bus and tram.

 

Our Experience

The Vienna Pass is the most efficient, economic and Convenient way of seeing everything in and around Vienna. It covers most (if not all) must sees of Vienna. Whether you have ample time or just a little time, The Vienna Pass will be the best option for seeing everything. One of the best feature of Vienna Pass is the fast track entry at many places. Wherever there is a Fast track entry, there is no need to que up at the cash desk to even collect your ticket, just show The Vienna Pass at the entry barricade, scan it, and tada! – In you go. Thats it. Its that simple and convenient. A real time and money saver.

Worth a special mention is the Hop on Hop off bus which is included in all of the above Vienna passes. The hop on hop off buses are really convenient and most about cover all of Vienna. There are 4 lines that run around the city at short time intervals. Each line has a separate route so no matter which attraction you are going to, you can always take the correct line of HoHo bus and you are at your destination. The buses are also equipped with a GPS guided audio guide to give you the most accurate and informative information about the history and features of the city.
