JAIPUR January 2023 | Known for its distinguished image across the world, five days going Jaipur International Film Festival ‘JIFF’ will kick off at 4:30 P.M. on 6th January in Maharana Pratap Auditorium, and will beautifully repeat the history of creating many cinematic aspects altogether, under one roof. For the very first time, in the history of film festivals, JIFF pioneered the tradition of declaring awards prior to screenings, which is going to continue this year as well. All of the awarded films will be given awards on the inaugural day itself.

Jaipur International Film Festival founder–director Hanu Roj informsthat this will help film enthusiasts to watch the best films at INOX, GT Central [Malviya Nagar, Jaipur], and they will entertain themselves evidently.

JIFF is celebrating its 15th birthday this year, where the Inauguration Ceremony will happen on 6th January, followed by the screening of awarded and selected films from 7th to 10th January. A number of 282 films from 63 countries will be screened, with 61full-length films including 12 full-length films of Indian Panorama.

These are the films, which were promoted as a part of the ‘Torch Campaign’ conducted by JIFF in five cities of the country. Besides, 28 full-length documentaries, short fiction films, web series, short
animation films, mobile films, short documentaries and songs will be screened.

JIFF is declaring to put an end to screening ‘Opening Film’ and ‘Closing Film’ from this edition, as it’s not required in the current changing scenario.

Grammy Award Winner Ricky Kej will be the center of attraction during the Opening Ceremony Under the guidance of Grammy Award Winner Ricky Kej, Hollywood star Pamela Jaye Smith and Sumathy Ram, Jia Nath, and Sanatan Chakravarthy will perform a dance show, as a tribute to the legendary singer Amir Khusrau. Our beloved pink city is going to witness such an amazing evening for the first time, where such big world-famous artists will perform for the art enthusiasts.

Entry will be free for film and music lovers of Jaipur.
