SPECIAL COVER ON THE NIGHTINGALE OF INDIA; BHARAT RATNA LATA MANGESHKAR.

India Post, Mumbai Region will be releasing a special cover on Bharat Ratna and Nightingale of India; one the greatest singers of all times, Lata Mangeshkar tomorrow, 01.03.2022, Tuesday at 4:00 pm on the Conference Hall of Mumbai General Post Office (1st floor). Mr Aadinath Mangeshkar, the nephew of the singer will be the Chief Guest for the event who will release the special cover. The event will be graced by Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra and Goa Circle, Smt Veena Srinivas. The program has been arranged and coordinated by Team India Post, Mumbai Region under the supervision of Ms Swati Pandey, Postmaster General, Mumbai Region, who will also be present in the event.
The special cover is a tribute to the illustrious life and career of Lata Mangeshkar whose contribution to Indian music is boundless. Representing the country for more than eight decades, she has made the nation proud of her mellifluity and golden voice. The special cover will be featuring the evolution of Indian music with the Queen of Melodies and would be present with a special cancellation cache dedicated to Lata Didi.
