Sensex Derivatives Turnover Reaches Rs 3,42,129 Crores; Doubles from Previous Week

Mumbai, 16th June 2023: The S&P BSE Sensex derivatives recorded a turnover of Rs 3,42,129 crores (Rs 3,41,918 crore in options and Rs 211 crore in futures) on weekly expiry this Friday, as compared to the previous week’s expiry turnover of Rs 1,72,960 crores.

Total 54.07 lakh contracts were traded today through 11.62 lakh trades. The total open interest reached a peak of 3.31 lakh contracts valued at Rs 20,980 crores before expiry.

The Open Interest has seen steady growth over the past one month since relaunch evoking interest from growing number of market participants.
