Maharashtra Governor Addresses Physiotherapists Society’s Annual Conference

Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik (MUHS), emphasizes on role of Physiotherapy in health care.

Mumbai, Jan 12, 2020: Society of Indian Physiotherapists (SIP) organized its 5th Annual Conference – SIPCON  at Mumbai. The Conference was marked by presence of around 400 physiotherapy professionals across India and abroad. Addressing the gathering during the inauguration Chief Guest Hon’ble Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, the Governor of Maharashtra congratulated the organizers for organizing the conference where Physiotherapists can learn not only from their Indian colleagues but also from experts from various other countries. Further he also stated that Physiotherapy has a very critical role in modern healthcare system and is very important part in order to bring back the patient to its original state post-surgery.  He also emphasized on how Physiotherapy is reaching to rural part of India these days.

Guest of Honor Prof. (Dr.) Deelip Mhaisekar, Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik spoke about the importance of providing quality education and attaching a every PT college to a Medical College. He shared the its matter of pride for MUHS to be the Academic Partner for 5th SIPCON. The informative lectures and scientific papers will help the practicing Physiotherapists to learn new techniques, he added.

Further Guest of Honor Dr. Uday B. Andar, Director of Clinical Services, MRR Children Hospital, Thane inaugurated the Trade Exhibition of Physiotherapy equipment and personally visited all the stalls to know the latest equipment’s & technology available in the market. Conference comprised of various Invited Talks, Focused Symposium’s, Panel Discussions & Hands on Workshops.

Moreover, this conference gave a platform to all professionals to share their thoughts & researches, in all more than 75 papers were presented in terms of oral and poster presentation. This conference provided all delegates the opportunity to Collect, Collaborate and Innovate.
