IIT Roorkee gets a HeadStart in Placements of 2021-22

Roorkee, 1st December 2021:IIT Roorkee is all set for another year of promising Placements. The Placement Exercise 2021-22 begun as per the schedule on 1^st December 2021. Brightest of the minds, the students of the IIT Roorkee were ready to greet this season with enthusiasm. Organizations and students alike are hopeful of the best of the results and outcome. 

Speaking about this year’s Placements drive, Prof. Vinay Sharma Professor In-Charge, Placement and Internship Cell, IIT Roorkee, said, “Pandemic scenario has brought some directional changes in the placement scenario. We accordingly made our strategy for this placements season, wherein we tied up with the best of the companies in the Sectors related to AI, Software, Networks, Analytics, E-Commerce, FMCG, Quants, Finance, Manufacturing and others with sincere focus on the core sector.” 

“Along with this we ensured great diversification in the profiles which resulted in more offers extended to the students in the companies specific to their interests.  Furthermore we deeply analyzed the economic growth across the globe and accordingly collaborated with established growing firms, on the basis of forecasting done by our team. With all the above strategies we were able to do exceedingly well in international as well as domestic offers”, added Prof. Vinay Sharma. 

Apart from this, certain sessions before the placement season for the students to explore various fields and their interest in the growing market were also conducted and accordingly the Institute reached out the best rising firms in those respective sectors as well. 

As inferred by our statistics of placements 2021-22, students of IIT Roorkee have been consistently performing well in all the profiles and are regarded as a human resource par excellence. 

1. NUMBER OF COMPANIES:35 with multiple profiles (in two slots) till 2 p.m. on 1^stDecember 2021

Highlights:

• Got 2.15 cr. International Salary for 1 student

• Got 1.30 cr. to 1.8 cr. Domestic Salary for 3 students

• 11 Students got more than 1 cr. Salary

• 13 International offers on 1^st day till 2 p.m.
