Mumbai: Auburn University is located in Auburn, Alabama, a small, friendly university town in the southeastern US. Established in 1856, the university has a long history of academic excellence. Dr Winn is a professor of communication in the School of Communication and Journalism and has been serving as Auburn University’s Associate Provost since 2009. An Auburn alumnus himself, Winn earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication from Auburn University and his doctorate in communication from the University of South Florida. Following his doctoral studies, he began teaching at Auburn University, where he has educated students in courses such as introduction to film studies, history of international cinema and history of the American film industry, as well as several graduate courses, including qualitative methods.
As Associate Provost, Winn provides insight on and leadership for academic and administrative issues across all colleges and schools at Auburn University. Winn provides direct supervision to many academic areas, including Auburn Global.
