YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli spends the day with her fan, winner of her Fankind campaign

India: Anshula Kapoor’s online fundraising platform ‘Fankind’ which was launched in August has announced the winner of their campaign with well-known You Tuber Prajakta Koli. Abhishek Bansal, a 21 year old student from Chandigarh got the opportunity of a lifetime to spend the afternoon with Prajakta, and be in a YouTube video with her where they did a myriad of activities wearing a Sumo suit! A unique platform, Fankind unites celebrities, fans and charities thus giving fans an opportunity to experience a fun activity with the celebrity they adore; while also helping raise funds for a deserving NGO.
Through this association with Fankind, You Tuber Prajakta Koli has helped raise funds to support the The Banyan Foundation in Chennai. The total amount donated through this campaign is Rs. 1,19,800. The proceeds of this campaign will be used to support the salaries for one month of the Consultant Psychologist, Consultant Psychiatrist and General Physician at the recovery centre in Chennai, who help look after 180 residents by providing them with medical treatment, emotional support and counselling to those who are in need of love and care.
“This experience has been so enriching for me as much as anyone else. I would like to thank every individual who participated in the campaign and donated for this cause. It was such a fun time meeting the winner and playing such entertaining games with him,” said You Tuber Prajakta Koli. To participate in a Fankind campaign, fans have to donate on the website to the cause supported by each experience, which enables them to receive entries for a chance of a lifetime to spend the day with their favourite celebrity. The winner for each experience is chosen at random by a third party. Fankind takes care of the travel and hotel stay for the winner.
