SIP Academy, has not only been creating mathematics geniuses rather is also aiming at creating responsible citizens for the country and thus they celebrated their 16th anniversary in an old age home in Vasai, where students spent time with 56 elderly women by planting trees.
Highlighting the need to shelter and preserve the environment Mr Dinesh Victor, MD of SIP Academy said, “Sip Abacus has always protected and conserved the environment. We propagate sustainable ways in all our business practices. I am happy to see the high enthusiasm exhibited by the students who have come forth for the drive. Let us all pledge not only to plant trees but also nurture them” Ms Sarala K- Head (HR & CSR) of SIP Academy said, “We have to ensure that our future generation is raised in a manner that they understand the value of conserving the environment. Today we decided to celebrate our anniversary over here so that kids can understand the value of greenery which is diminishing day by day. Also they have to learn the social value like care which they will learn by spending time with these elderly ladies.”
SIP aims to promote the following trees-
NEEM – protects our environment in flood control, reduced soil erosion and less salination.
AMLA – a tropical tree with great medicinal properties
MANGO – trees help to filter water, combat salinity, clean the air and increase flows into water catchments. They also provide food and shelter not only to humans but also to wildlife.
