ROTARIAN LAL GOEL CHAMPIONS ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS AT MUMBAI SCHOOL

Mumbai, July 12, 2025 – Rotarian Lal Goel, Founder and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Chairman of Organ Donation India Foundation & GYAN, delivered an inspiring talk on organ donation awareness at Shivaji Vidyalaya, Parel, Mumbai.
Collaborative Initiative for Life-Saving Cause
The educational program was jointly organised by the Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City and the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International. The event brought together students, teachers, and fellow Rotarians to raise awareness about the critical importance of organ donation in India.
Addressing India’s Healthcare Crisis
In his compelling address, Rotarian Lal Goel highlighted a significant challenge facing India’s healthcare system: the urgent need for families of brain-dead patients to consider organ donation. He made a passionate appeal to the younger generation to step forward and support this life-saving cause.
“The gap between organ availability and demand in India is enormous,” Goel emphasised during his presentation. “We need the next generation to understand that organ donation is not just a medical procedure—it’s an act of humanity that can save multiple lives.”
Distinguished Participation
The program drew notable participation from several distinguished Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City, including President Rtn Dr Shyam Singhania, First Lady Sadhna Singhania, PDG Rtn Dr Rajendra Agrawal, Secretary & President-Elect Rtn Hiren Gosalia, Ms Mala Gosalia, PP Rtn Anupurna Jalan, Mr Mahesh Jalan, Rtn Arun Mittal, Rtn Adv Vinay Khandelwal, Rtn Pawan Surekha & Santosh Surekha.
Also present were Rtn Ruby Agarwal, Secretary of Rotary Club of Organ Donation International, and Mr Adhiraj Lokegaonkar, CEO of Shivaji Vidyalaya.
President Rtn Shyam Singhania presided over the program, which was skillfully conducted by PP Rtn Anupurna Jalan. The vote of thanks was delivered by Secretary & President-Elect Rtn Hiren Gosalia.
Commitment to Continued Awareness
The program concluded with Rotarian Lal Goel presenting Rotary Club of Organ Donation International flags to Rtn Shyam Singhania and School CEO Mr Adhiraj Lokegaonkar, symbolising their commitment to continue spreading awareness about organ donation.
The program successfully engaged a large audience of students and teachers from Shivaji Vidyalaya, contributing to the broader mission of creating awareness about organ donation across educational institutions in Mumbai.
