Mumbai, June 8, 2025– The Rotary Club of Organ Donation International marked a historic milestone by conducting its first-ever Official Club Visit (OCV) online, representing a groundbreaking moment in the history of Rotary District 3141.

The Official Club Visit is a formal event in Rotary International where the District Governor visits member clubs to connect with members, promote Rotary’s objectives, and provide strategic guidance. This key component of Rotary’s structure strengthens District networks and enhances service activities across the organisation.

Before the main gathering, District Governor Rtn Chetan Desai conducted a closed-door meeting with the club’s leadership team, including Charter & Vibrant President Rtn Lal Goel, Secretary Rtn Pratul Agrawal, and President-Elect Rtn PHF Ritika Gupta. Assistant Governor Rtn Sree Nandy and District Secretary Rtn Anita Pansari also participated in this strategic session.

During his welcome address, President Rtn Lal Goel highlighted the club’s unique position as a cause-based eClub with members spanning across the globe. He shared impressive achievements from the past year, noting that the club has conducted 26 comprehensive awareness campaigns reaching thousands of people through diverse channels including schools, colleges, universities, medical institutions, paramilitary forces, corporate offices, and fellow Rotary and Inner Wheel clubs.

Assistant Governor Rtn Sree Nandy praised President Rtn Lal Goel’s unwavering dedication, stating: “Rtn Lal is the most committed human being I have seen to his cause. There has not been a single day when he has not touched a new life to educate them about organ donation awareness. I am confident that organ donation will find its rightful place among Rotary’s core objectives.”

Chief Guest District Governor Rtn Chetan Desai commended the exceptional work of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and acknowledged Rtn Lal Goel’s dedication to this vital cause. He emphasised the power of unity in service, declaring: “Together we can, together we will create the magic of Rotary through our compassion, commitment, and most importantly, our consistency—because without commitment we will not start, and without consistency, we will not finish.”

The online format enabled participation from club members worldwide, demonstrating the global reach and impact of this specialised Rotary club.

President-Elect Rtn PHF Ritika Gupta delivered the vote of thanks, while Secretary Rtn Pratul Agrawal expertly facilitated the entire virtual gathering.
