Global Plant-Based Movement Takes Center Stage at Vegan India Conference 2025

Mumbai | July 5–6, 2025: The 4th edition of the Vegan India Conference, India’s leading platform for plant-based innovation and sustainability, successfully concluded on July 6, 2025, at the Novotel Hotel, Juhu, Mumbai.
Presented by Vegan First, the country’s largest community platform for the plant-based movement, the two-day event brought together over 1,000 delegates, 65+ expert speakers, and 45 pioneering exhibitors. The conference showcased cutting-edge advancements across food, fashion, health, and sustainability, reinforcing India’s growing influence in the global shift toward conscious living.

This landmark edition was graced by Hon’ble Dr. Justice Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud, as Guest of Honour, and Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, Former Member of Parliament and renowned animal rights advocate, as the Chief Guest. Their presence marked a powerful endorsement of the growing relevance of ethical, sustainable living in national discourse.

Celebrated actress and singer Zahrah S. Khan was presented with the Vegan Voice of the Year Award – 2025. Her presence added star power and a deeply personal touch to the event. EORI vegan leather won the award for fashion icon in innovation for next-generation developments such as bioleathers made from eucalyptus and industrial waste.

Beyond the keynotes and panels, the conference featured advocacy bootcamps, mentoring sessions on career paths in veganism, and forward-looking workshops on the role of AI in advocacy. Vegan India Conference 2025 offered attendees a vibrant food menu including artisanal cheeses, meat alternatives, vegan yogurts, desserts, proteins, and ice creams.
