The World Post Day marks the Anniversary of the establishment of Universal Postal Union, headquarter at Bern and is held on 9th October of every year. Department of Posts is celebrating National Postal week 2021 and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) from 11th October, 2021 to 17th October, 2021.
Day-wise Activities for National Postal week 2021 and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) will be celebrated in Maharashtra Postal Circle:
On 11th October 2021 ‘Banking Day’ financial Inclusion Melas in one village of each district of the Circle will be organized with target of Opening 1 Lakh Accounts with special Focus on Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. Documentary on India@75 will be displayed in Melas.
On 12th October 2021 ‘PLI Day’ financial Inclusion Mela in one village of each district for PLI/RPLI policies with target of opening 1 Lakh policies. PLI/RPLI sales force will be felicitated at National and State level. Documentary on India@75 will be displayed in Melas.
On 13th October 2021 ‘Philately Day’ Release of Special Covers on Unsung Heroes and Philatelic exhibition on ‘Journey of India @75’ through Postage Stamps will be displayed at Circle Office, Mumbai.
On 14th October 2021 ‘Business Development Day’ Aadhaar Enrolment/ Updation Camps will be arranged in Consultation with UIDAI with special focus on Slums/Orphanage/Far Flung Areas, Hilly/Tribal areas etc.
On 16th October 2021 ‘Mails Day’ Customer meet will be arranged in connection with Mails and Parcel business.
On 17th October 2021 Dak Seva Award 2021 and Meghdoot Award 2021 will be distributed at Circle level.
