Indian Couple breaks Through the Magic Number of Visitors at Swarovski Crystal World

15 MILLION VISITORS AT SWAROVSKI KRISTALLWELTEN

Wattens – Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) welcomed its 15 millionth visitor since it opened in 1995. The honored guests wereDarshana RaykarandAchyut Hegde from Bangalore in India. In addition to Austria, Germany, and Italy, India has become one of the most important countries of origin in the crystalline world of wonder. Since its inauguration in 1995, Swarovski Crystal Worlds has become one of Austria’s most frequently visited attractions.

Darshana RaykarandAchyut Hegde could hardly believe it when they were welcomed in the entrance area of Swarovski Crystal Worlds by artists from Circus Roncalli together with Markus Langes-Swarovski (Member of the Swarovski Executive Board), Carla Rumler (Cultural Director Swarovski and Curator of Swarovski Crystal Worlds) andStefan Isser (Managing Director of D. Swarovski Tourism Services GmbH) and as the 15 millionth visitors. The acrobats, artists, and illusionists that are guests during July and August for the “Summer in the Giant” program presented the surprised special guests a voucher for shopping at the Swarovski Kristallwelten Store. Afterwards, the couple received an exclusive tour through the realm of the Giant that gave them some very special insights into this unique place of fantasy. “Swarovski Crystal Worlds was a fixed point on our trip through Austria. The fact that we have now been honored as the 15 millionth visitors makes our stay here in Wattens an unforgettable event,” said Darshana Raykar, surprised.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds is a tourist attraction that combines art with lifestyle and Austrian traditionswith an internationally successful concept for tourism. “15 million visitors from over 60 countries demonstrate the fascinating pull that Swarovski Crystal Worlds still has, making it the most international place in Tyrol since 1995,” Managing Director Stefan Isser is pleased to say. Carla Rumler adds: “We are proud that Swarovski Crystal Worlds, with its continuous courage to change and create something new, attracts so many enthusiastic guests from all around the world.”

A tourism success story: Swarovski Crystal Worlds was opened in 1995 to mark the centennial anniversary of the company’s founding. Multimedia artist André Heller designed this unique place of fantasy. To date, this beloved attraction and destination in Tyrol has brought moments of wonder to over fifteen million visitors from all around the world. Around the iconic focal point of the Giant and the 17 Chambers of Wonder, architects of global renown have created a garden landscape featuring unique art installations and a number of new attractions. Most recently, in July 2019, the“Carousel” by the Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon was installed in the garden.
