Pan-India, September 20, 2026: From the mountains of the North to the shores of the South, and from the vibrant East to the expansive West, Bharat came together in its extraordinary diversity to walk for one universal aspiration: peace. Across 35+ locations, with over 10,000 people participating, the Vishwa Shanti Yatra 2026, organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Adhyatmik Samiti (ABAS), became a nationwide expression of unity, harmony and collective consciousness.
More than a journey across geographical boundaries, the Yatra brought together India’s rich cultural, linguistic, social and spiritual diversity under one shared message: I AM PEACE. Different traditions, generations, communities, languages and cultural expressions came together, affirming the thought that peace begins within the individual and finds its expression in the world.
At the heart of the movement was the message “Antarik Shanti Se Vishwa Shanti” – From Inner Peace to World Peace. The Yatra invited individuals to recognise their role in creating a more peaceful world: to choose peace, and allow that choice to touch families, communities, the nation and the world. Inspired by Prem Avataar Maitreya Dadashreeji, the affirmation “I Am Peace” found visible expression through peace walks, human chains, placards, dialogues and collective activities across countries.
A key highlight was the launch of the World Peace Prayer, with the grace and blessings of Maitreya Dadashreeji, bringing people together in a collective expression of peace, compassion and solidarity. Extending beyond Bharat, the message resonated across 23+ countries and 100+ cities worldwide, reinforcing peace as a universal language. The Yatra was non-political and faith-neutral, welcoming people across backgrounds, beliefs, professions, ages and communities – leaving behind a simple, powerful reminder: I CHOOSE PEACE. I AM PEACE.
