Dream Girl Hema Malini Opens Up for the First Time in 60 Years About Her Extraordinary Journey in Indian Cinema Ahead of “Hema Malini LIVE IN CHARITY CONCERT by Anirudh Chawla”

Veteran actress Hema Malini is all set to celebrate an extraordinary milestone as she marks 60 glorious years in Indian cinema with “Hema Malini LIVE INCONCERT – The Dream Girl’s Diamond Jubilee Charity Concert, in Memory of Dharmendra Ji,” a grand musical spectacle to be held on 10th July 2026 at 6 PM at Shri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Auditorium, Mumbai.

Ahead of the much awaited concert, an exclusive press conference was held to announce “Hema Malini Charity Musical Concert in Support of CINTAA and FWICE,” where Hema Malini opened up for the first time about her remarkable six decade journey in Indian cinema. The event was produced, directed and hosted by RJ Anirudh Chawla and marked the beginning of the celebrations leading up to this historic milestone. Philanthropist and social entrepreneur Nidharshana Gowani graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, joining Hema Malini and RJ Anirudh Chawla on stage. During the event, she also inaugurated the Nidarshana Gowani Kamala Trust Media Support Cell, a dedicated initiative created to extend support and assistance to media professionals and individuals facing difficult times (terms and conditions apply).

Present at the press conference were Vijayta Pandit, Shabbir Kumar, Poonam Dhillon, Nidarshana Gowani, Sushma Shreshta, B.N Tiwary, Sanjiv Gupta & Many More.

Speaking about the celebration, Hema Malini said, “Completing 60 years in Indian cinema is a blessing. I feel grateful for the love I have received throughout my journey. This concert is my way of celebrating those beautiful memories with my audience and the people who have been a part of my career. It will also be a heartfelt tribute to Dharamji and our wonderful memories over the years.”

Nidharshana Gowani said, “The media has always played an invaluable role in shaping stories, preserving legacies and connecting people. Through the Nidarshana Gowani Kamala Trust Media Support Cell, we hope to stand by media professionals and those in need during challenging times. It is an honour to be part of this beautiful celebration of Hema Malini Ji’s incredible journey, while also launching an initiative that is dedicated to giving back to the community.”

RJ Anirudh Chawla added, “Hema Malini Ji’s contribution to Indian cinema is truly unparalleled. I am honoured to be co-authoring Hemaji’s film memoir, to be published by Rupa Publications this year, and also directing her documentary on her historic 60-year film journey. This concert is the third chapter of the Hema Malini Legacy Project. It is not just a celebration of an iconic actress but of an era that continues to inspire generations. Audiences can expect an evening filled with music, nostalgia, emotions and unforgettable moments.”

The Diamond Jubilee concert will feature spectacular performances by Kavita Krishnamurti, Suresh Wadkar, Anup Jalota, Anu Malik, Padmini Kolhapure, Vijayta Pandit, Poornima Shrestha, Shabbir Kumar and Sudesh Bhosle, celebrating Hema Malini’s timeless cinematic journey.

The evening will also pay a heartfelt tribute to Dharmendra Ji, celebrating his legendary on screen and off screen pairing with the Dream Girl that has captivated audiences for decades. Hema Malini will also felicitate the filmmakers, writers, music directors and co stars who have been an integral part of her illustrious career. Veteran stars Jeetendra, Shatrughan Sinha, Rakesh Roshan, Ramesh Sippy, Subhash Ghai, Javed Akhtar, Umesh Mehra, Sanjay Khan and Anandji Virji Shah will be present as distinguished guests during the concert as part of this grand celebration.

The Chief Guest for the evening will be Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of India, Shri Kiren Rijiju Ji.

The Guest of Honour will be Minister of Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Ashish Shelar Ji.

Adding a meaningful purpose to the celebration, ₹10 lakh from the ticket proceeds will be donated to CINTAA and FWICE to support film artistes and workers in need.
