ROTARIAN LAL GOEL CELEBRATES THE 50TH RAISING DAY OF THE INDIAN COAST GUARD

Mumbai, February 1, 2026 — Rotarian Lal Goel, Founder and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Chairman of Organ Donation India Foundation & GYAN, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Indian Coast Guard on the occasion of its historic 50th Raising Day.

With a long-standing and meaningful association with the Indian Coast Guard, Rotarian Lal Goel was honoured as the Chief Guest at the 44th Coast Guard Raising Day celebrations on February 1, 2020. The programme was hosted by the then Commander, Indian Coast Guard Karnataka, DIG S S Dasila, TM, and attended by senior officers and distinguished dignitaries.

Rotarian Lal Goel actively promoted Organ Donation awareness among Indian Coast Guard officers and personnel, highlighting the life-saving impact of the noble cause and reinforcing the role of uniformed services in nation-building beyond duty.

In 2024, Rotarian Lal Goel was once again invited as Special Guest to the 48th Indian Coast Guard Raising Day celebrations at the Indian Coast Guard Karnataka Headquarters, Mangaluru. The occasion was graced by His Excellency Thawar Chand Gehlot, Governor of Karnataka, as the Chief Guest.

On this occasion, Rotarian Lal Goel briefed the Hon’ble Governor on the mission and objectives of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International, emphasising its commitment to spreading awareness and saving lives through Organ Donation.

The event was hosted by the Commander, Indian Coast Guard Karnataka, DIG Praveen Kumar Mishra, TM, and attended by senior officials, district authorities, and eminent guests.
