Elior India Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Kitchen Facility

May 24, 2024: Elior India, a leading player in the contract catering and support services sector, proudly announces the inauguration of its new state-of-the-art kitchen facility in Hyderabad. The facility, sprawling over 20,000 sq. ft. was inaugurated on 23th May 2024 by Mr. Daniel Derichebourg, Global CEO of Elior Group, and Mr. Rohit Sawhney, CEO of Elior India.

This cutting-edge kitchen facility is a testament to Elior’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the food services industry. Equipped with advanced technology and designed to the highest international standards, the facility aims to enhance operational efficiency and quality of service.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Daniel Derichebourg, Global CEO of Elior Group, stated, “The launch of this new facility in Hyderabad marks a significant milestone for Elior Group as we continue to expand our footprint in India. Mr. Rohit Sawhney, CEO of Elior India, added, “The Gourmet Kitchen at HYD is a state-of-the-art kitchen wherein we have used the best of technology and equipment’s. This kitchen is built on 20,000 sq ft with the capacity of 25000 meals which can be scaled up to 30,000 meals. We have used the best-in-class equipment’s to ensure that the food is cooked in the most hygienic while ensuring that the equipment’s use minimum power to run, STP that helps ensure that the garbage disposal and treated water will be is used for restrooms and cleaning. We will soon start working on rainwater harvesting which will allow us to recycle water.”

State-of-the-Art Facility: Our new gourmet kitchen in Hyderabad spans an impressive 20,000 square feet, providing ample space for culinary creativity. With the capacity to prepare up to 25,000 meals per day to start with, we are well-equipped to meet the demands of our customers with precision and excellence.
Automatic Fire Suppression System: Safety is paramount in our operations. That’s why we have implemented an automatic fire suppression system to swiftly respond to any potential hazards, minimizing risks and ensuring the well-being of our staff and facilities.

Comprehensive Fire Alarm System: In addition to the fire suppression system, we have installed a robust fire alarm system to detect and alert in the event of fire incidents. This proactive measure enables us to take immediate action, preventing potential damage and ensuring the safety of all occupants.

Water Treatment: Clean and safe water is fundamental to our operations. Through Water Treatment Plants (WTP) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants, we ensure that all areas have access to treated water of the highest quality. With a storage capacity of 100,000 litters as backup, we guarantee uninterrupted water supply, essential for our culinary endeavours.

Exhaust and Air Washers System: Maintaining optimal air quality is crucial for a healthy kitchen environment. Our kitchen features a sophisticated exhaust and air washers’ system, boasting a capacity of 22,500 cubic feet per minute (CFM). With four units in place, we effectively remove pollutants and contaminants, creating a pristine workspace for our culinary artisans ensuring the most hygienic food to our clients.

In addition, waste management measures include transferring wet waste to piggeries, recycling dry waste, and repurposing used oil for biodiesel production.

We will cater to our client locations by only using electric vehicles which allows us to reduce the carbon footprint.

Megabite by Elior India is a market leader in Corporate B&I in the cities like Bangalore and Mumbai. Since 2017, Elior India has only had Megabite as a brand which specialized in clients where the services are primarily Chef Led providing customized menus. From August 2023 onwards, Elior India has embarked on growing business across the country not only under the Megabite brand but has launched several new brands to target business in educational institutes (Gourmet Canteen) medical facilities (El Nourish) and standardized hygienic and nutritious meals (Platesmith). It has grown by atleast 40% in the last one year and added over 1000 people in the team and is currently at 2000 team members. With the expansion plan in place, we plan to add at least another 3000 team members in the next one year, adds Rohit Sawhney.
