Starry Splendour at Kalyanaraman Family’s Navaratri Puja in Thrissur, Kerala

Festivities marked by the presence of movie stars – Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon, Janhavi Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna and many others
Thrissur, 22 October 2023: The Kalyanaraman family’s Navaratri extravaganza unfolded in all its grandeur, with an ensemble of stars from the Indian film industry gracing the occasion and participating in the celebrations.
The Navaratri festivities this year were themed around the divine essence of Lord Shiva, embodied by the sacred Jyotirlings. The Kalyanaraman family kept up the tradition of displaying the ‘Bommai Kolu’, a festive display of dolls and figurines. The order in which the Bommai or the dolls are kept symbolises the evolution from a materialistic level to an elevated spiritual level through depiction of everyday scenes and the divine forms of the goddesses, Saraswati, Parvati and Lakshmi. The guests were warmly welcomed and explained about the thought and the story behind the Kolu display.
Katrina Kaif, Kalyan Jewellers’ global ambassador graced the special puja along with other Bollywood stars including Sonakshi Sinha, Shilpa Shetty, Janhavi Kapoor, National Award Winner – Kriti Sanon, Kalyan Jewellers’ brand ambassador Rashmika Mandanna and others. Ajay Devgn, the Bollywood star also attended the festivities. Directors and actors from the Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu film industry were also present on the occasion.
The private celebration saw celebrities such as Tovino Thomas, Varalakshmi, Sania Aiyappan, Vikram Prabhu, Naga Chaitanya, Regina Cassandra, Neeraj Madhav, Naila Usha, Shruti Ramachandran, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Director Satyan Anthikkad, Music director Ouseppachan, Menaka and Suresh Kumar.
Kalyan Jewellers’ regional brand ambassadors Prabhu Ganesan (Tamil Nadu), Akkineni Nagarjuna (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), Kinjal Rajpriya (Gujarat) and Wamiqa Gabbi (Punjab) graced the evening with their presence.
