Punjab and Sind Bank Celebrates Shaheedi Diwas of Saheb Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Organises Chabeel Langar

May 23. 2023 : Chhabeel Langar on occasion ol’ Shaheedi Diwas of Saheb Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji was celebrated by Punjab and Sind Bank at Zonal Office,Mumbai. Every year, to salute the courage, determination and optimism of Guru Arjan Devji, Shaheedi Diwas is observed as a remembrance of’ his martyrdom.
Chhabeel day, celebrated by serving the cool, thirst quencher drink to the people to provide them much required relief from the scorching heat and spread the message of optimism, is also observed on the on the same day as Guru Arjan Dev ji Martyr’s Day. Today, Punjab and Sind Bank, Zonal Office Mumbai, celebrated this day with full enthusiasm.
The day Began with, Ardas path, followed by distribution of Chhabeel and Langar. All staff from Punjab and Sind Bank, Zonal Office Mumbai had participated whole heartedly.
Leading the team from the front were Field General Manager (FGM) Sh. Parveen Mongia. Zonal Manager (ZM) Sh. Nalin Kumar and Dpt. General Manager (DGM) Sardar. Sarbjeet Singh. FGM sir, having taken charge of Mumbai office recently, he shared his experience regarding organising this event from banks perspective. He said, “The ‘Shaheedi Diwas’ is held every year on Day 24 of Jeth — the third month in the Sikh calendar. This day is of great religious value to Sikhs worldwide. Guru Arjun Dev Ji was the first martyr of the Sikh religion. Known for his initiative to build the Golden Temple or the Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar. Also known for compilation of the “Guru Granth Sahib,” which comprises the writings of all past Gurus in one book. Keeping his Teachings and selfless work towards the society as whole in mind we tried to celebrate this day by offering Chhabeel Langar, to all patrons, at our Zonal Office Premises.”
He continued, “Punjab and Sind Bank is now trying to penetrate in South and Western markets of the country in the Banking Sector, as well as trying to expand in the Tier 2 and Rural Areas, and these event definitely helps the bank to connect with the masses.”
Punjab and Sind Bank as per their annual closing report for FY 22-23 Posted Net Profit of Rs.1313 Crore YOY.They have further planned to open 50 New Branches across Pan India in this FY 23-24.The Bank is slowly and steadily growing and expects increase in YOY Profits .
