“Mails & Parcel Day” celebration on 12/10/2023 during ‘National Postal Week’ 2023 from 09.10.2023 to 13.10.2023

The Department of Posts, is celebrating “National Postal Week” from October 9th to October 13. This week long celebration aims to highlight the pivotal role of postal services in our daily lives.  As a part of this celebration, Mails and Parcels Day was celebrated on 12th October, 2023. At the outset, Shri. Amitabh Singh, Postmaster General, Mails and Business Development welcomed the guests and briefed the gathering regarding the  various services of the Department and the initiatives taken for providing the services upto the last mile. The event marked the signing of MoU between Maharashtra Postal Circle & Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM), Govt. of Maharashtra for providing Indiapost services to the self-help groups enrolled with MAVIM. A video message of Ms. Aditi Tatkare, Hon’ble Minister for Women and Child Development was played at the event in which  Indiapost and MAVIM were congratulated for their collaboration to bring financial empowerment to the self help groups throughout Maharashtra.  An agreement between i-Think logistics was also signed for extending the  Parcel services of India Post to small online retailer and eCommerce Vendors. Both the agreements were presented by Shri K. K. Sharma, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle. This was a significant step towards enhancing the services of the Department and community outreach.

The topmost customers of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai were felicitated  for their unwavering trust and support by Shri. K. K. Sharma, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle. The hard work and dedication of the  marketing executives in promoting the services of the Department,  were also felicitated.   Customer Management Solutions, a customer centric Portal was inaugurated to streamline the business procurement by Marketing Executives. A special cancellation on Mails and Business Development Day together with a  Diwali greeting card was released. Shri Manoj Kumar, Director Mails and BD, Shri. Abhijeet Bansode, Director (HQ), Dr Ajinkya Kale, Director of Postal Services, Mumbai Region, esteemed Customers of India Post were present on the occasion.
