INDIAN STUDENT WINS REGIONAL QUALIFIERS FOR THE GLOBAL STUDENT ENTREPRENEUR AWARDS

New Delhi, 13th February 2018– An Indian student has become the proud winner of the EO South Asia Regional Qualifiers of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) this year. Hosted by the EO Bangladesh Chapter, seventeen student entrepreneurs from four countries competed head to head in this regional finale for a chance to move on to the global finals. Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Eshan Sadasivan – Founder & CEO, PROSOC bested his competitors with his innovative (business insights) based on his business idea, excellent presentation skills and smart responses during the Q&A rounds. Jahangir Alam of ALO from Bangladesh was the first runner up.
GSEA is EO’s premier awards program for students who own or operate a business while attending college or university. Eshan has won this regional GSEA round and now proceeds to compete against other top student entrepreneurs from around the world in the hopes of winning over US$400,000 in cash and donated prizes at EO GSEA Global Finals 2018 in Toronto, Canada. In order to qualify for this award contest, participants had to be an undergraduate student and the owner of a for-profit/social enterprise structured (revenue generating) business that has operated for at least six consecutive months. All the participants contested in the Regional Finals have achieved the Local Winner Award and prize money in their respective countries.
