Many years ago, actress Hansa Singh decided to go against all the odds to pursue her dream of acting, though her choice didn’t seem obvious to many, she took a giant leap of faith to pursue her tinsel town dream “I belong to a simple family background where we don’t have any association with Bollywood, but it was my passion for this art which made me pursue acting”
An avid believer in “Quality over Quantity”, Hansa started her journey with a vision to entertain people with her acting abilities. Insisting that her foray into the world of performing arts was not a flash-in-the-pan decision, Hunterrr says that it’s her passion & love for the craft of acting which is the prime factor that attracts her to be a part of Bollywood.
She debut in the year 2005 in the movie “Page 3” directed by Mr. Madhur Bhandarkar under the banner of Lighthouse films Pvt. Ltd. starring Konkana Sen Sharma and Boman Irani in the lead, Her next project “Backwaters” was released in 2006 followed by “Money Hai Toh Honey Hai” in the year 2008 and “Kartik Calling Kartik” in the year 2010. She starred alongside Vivek Oberoi and Raju Kher in Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 3 a sequel to the 2006 movie Krrish; it was released on November 1 st 2013. Her next venture with Tailormade Film and Phantom films in the year 2015 was “Hunterrr” an Indian adult comedy film written and directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, this movie boasts a cast of popular actors Radhika Apte, Sai Tamhankar, and Gulshan Devaiah. The movie became the most loved movie as it upped the scale of profits and was one of the highest grosser of the quarter her character from the movie gained so much popularity and became the talk of the town.
Singh was last seen in Star Plus’s magnum opus television series Aarambh an Indian historical fiction television series produced by Rose Audio Visuals, which aired on weekends from 24 June 2017 to 10 September 2017. The story revolves around the rivalry between Dravidians and Aryans, where she was seen playing Dayalini, the caretaker and aunt of Devsena. Her character was cunning and evil, always planning to kill Devsena and become the queen due to her desire for power. Her versatility in visual and performing arts is not only limited to acting, she is a professional salsa dancer too.
