Mumbai, June 2022: The Department of Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training, in Sunder Nagar, Himachal Pradesh has signed an MoU with Eduauraa Technologies to help students of Govt. ITI of the State with free courses. The MoU was signed between Mr. Vivek Chandel, Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh and Sanjay Vaidh, Director, Eduauraa Technologies. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. Sunil Verma, Joint Director, State Technical Education, Sundernagar Himachal Pradesh, Ms. Vidyut Kundu and Ms. Neelam Rawat. The Agreement has materialised under the leadership of Dr. Ram Lal Markanda (Member of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly). The courses focus on two modules: one on spoken English and the other on employability skills. The courses are targeted at educators of the institute along with students. These courses will first be availed by master trainers who will then help 25,000 students to use the platform and ready them with the necessary communication and employable skills.
Sharing insights on this strategic tie-up, Vivek Chandel, Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Sundernagar said, “The need of the hour is for students of technical institutes to be well-versed with employability skills. Good communication skills are especially needed when students pursue further education. Eduauraa is a platform that’s providing good spoken English courses, which in the long run shape students to be equipped with employability skills.”
Talking about the road ahead, Akanksha Chaturvedi, Founder and CEO, Eduauraa Technologies, said, “With this tie-up, Eduauraa Technologies is moving towards cherishing its goal of democratizing education. We are further working to strengthen our technical labs to better the experience of the platform.”
Students of Employability Skills course in 138 Govt. ITI of Himachal Pradesh will be trained under this MoU impacting 25,000-individuals of the ITIs. This can go up to 50,000 students over time. All the expenses for the training shall be borne by the Eduauraa and there will be no financial implication on the State. In the first phase, ‘Master Trainers’ will be trained using the curriculum. Master trainers will further train the instructor in-charge of the employability skills curriculum in all of the Govt. ITIs in collaboration with Eduauraa Technologies. The intervention through Eduauraa Technologies will provide more than 90-hours of training to instill skills in employability skills, digital literacy, and fluency, workplace readiness, such as creative problem solving and data use in decision making, and career management skills, such as fostering a growth mindset and the ability to identify and plan career journeys to the trainees. The strategic goal for the partnership over the next three years is to equip trainers and students with critical skills as they transition into the world of a skilled workforce.
